how to configure garmin gps to work in West Afica?

I want to know if there is a way of (re)configure garmin gps system to work in Accra West Africa

yes, buy the maps from garmin.
or you can do this. ill explain it from my newelectronx gps. go to the about area, and press maps. if your have africa maps on your gps then just change the search location to africa and it should work. otherwise, you dont have the maps on your gps and you will need purchase them.
The only thing you can do is load the maps of where you will be travelling, if they are availalable, and which you have to purchase.
